Synopsis
Deputy U.S. Marshal Longarm is called to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a valuable golden statue from the town of Dry Gulch. The statue, known as the "Golden Goddess," is said to be cursed, and its theft has sent shockwaves through the community.
As Longarm delves into the investigation, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies. He learns that the statue was stolen from a local Native American tribe, and that its return is essential to their sacred ceremonies. Longarm also discovers that the statue is rumored to possess magical powers, and that several people in Dry Gulch are willing to do anything to get their hands on it.
With the help of his trusty sidekick, Deputy Billy Vail, Longarm sets out to track down the thieves and recover the Golden Goddess.
